Workplace Makeup

Workplace-Makeup-2-Twitter-@utublogWorkplace makeup can be a little tricky. It seems there’s a fine line between looking polished and put together and looking like you made far too much effort! In today’s post I’m sharing a look which I think is perfect for almost any working environment. I’ve just 5 products all of which are inexpensive and from the drugstore.

To create this look I first prepared my skin. I then applied the Maybelline Fit Me Foundation using a Real Techniques Buffing brush all over my face. Using my fingers, I applied a light wash of the Maybelline  Colour Tattoo in Metallic Pomegranate across my eyelids. I then used my Studio Blush Brush  by E.L.F to add a little colour to my cheeks, thanks to Sleeks blush in Flushed. No look would be complete without lipstick, so I applied one of my favourite lipsticks Sugar Plum by No7. Finally I add a few layers of Maybelline Rocket Volume mascara to my lashes… and the look is complete.

What’s your go to makeup look for the work place?

  1. I tend to wear that ‘no make-up’ look. then when I go out in the evening or weekend I can wear more adventurous make-up and look different.

  2. I really love the Maybelline colour tattoo – and it works well in this look, which is natural yet polished. Perfect for work :-)
