When I came across the L’Oreal hairchalk range whilst browsing my Youtube subscription feed, I thought it might be a good idea to give it a try. I’m pretty happy with my natural hair colour but thought these temporary hairchalks could be a fun way to switch things up without needing to commit permanently to a specific colour.
There are 8 colours in the collection ranging from super bold to more subtle options. I decided to try bronze beach as I thought it would be a natural looking shade. Overall I found the application process to be quite simple. The set comes with applicators however, I’ve found using a tinting brush to apply the product helps ensure you achieve streak-free results. I would recommend wearing gloves when applying this hairchalk as this helps to make the cleaning-up process much quicker. I would also recommend blow drying each section individually before applying colour to another section.
I found this hairchalk left my hair feeling rather drying. I also noticed that the colour transfered to clothes, hair tools etc, this is a little bit of an inconvenience but the colour can easily be cleaned. Personally I think the L’Oreal hairchalks are perfect if you’re looking to change your hair colour specifically for the day. In fact the brighter shades will be great if you’re heading to a festival this summer…just make sure you’re not wearing white!
