3-delicious-breakfasts-perfect-for-busy-mornings-2They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but personally on a busy day this is a meal I’m often willing to skip. So in my quest to try an eat breakfast on those busy mornings I’ve found 3 quick and easy breakfast dishes.

3-delicious-breakfasts-perfect-for-busy-morningsPerfect for busy mornings – Avocado and Eggs on Toast: My current favourite breakfast is wholemeal toast topped with avocado, a fried egg and seasoned with salt and cracked black pepper. I like my eggs over medium (basically sunny-side up but at the very end I flip the egg over to lightly cook on the other side). This is a great breakfast if you’re going to be on the-go all morning as the protein from the egg and the richness of the avocado helps to keep you full all morning.

Simple Healthy Granola Recipe (Raison Free)Perfect for those who like variety – Homemade GranolaThis breakfast is great for those who like to frequently switch things up at breakfast time. I often pair my granola with soya yoghurt, fruit or soya milk. The main reason I like this meal is because it’s made with oats. Oats are a popular breakfast meal because they promote the slow release of  energy, making them the perfect breakfast for a busy morning. Granola  can also be a great midday snack.

Fruit SmoothiesPerfect to take on the go – Fruit Smoothies: Don’t underestimate the power of a well made smoothie, especially one that’s packed with the right mix of fruit and vegetables. I’ve found the trick is to pre-bag your ingredients and freeze them. This helps to make sure your smoothie is nice and cold, whilst keeping the preparation time to a minimum.
